KnowledgeTree Roadmap Q1/Q2 2007

January 30, 2007 – 9:54 pm

We’ve published the KnowledgeTree product roadmap for Q1/Q2 2007 and have quite a few exciting features coming down the line. Jalal has published some information about the new RSS functionality he has been working on and Conrad has been working on Tagging and Tag Clouds. The Microsoft Outlook client will (finally!) be ready for beta early-Feb and available in forthcoming commercial releases (Microsoft Office is not a developer friendly environment!). We’ve also got integration planned with some Imaging Capture Workflow Tools (which is very attractive for bulk-scanning customers).

We’re also finally working on PHP5 support (cheers all round!).

Another exciting development (and not officially on the core teams roadmap, yet) is a SOAP Web Services interface to KnowledgeTree. We’re collaborating (well, more accurately Conrad is) with an open source community member, Antonio Rizzelli, on this and hope to have it in the core open source product soon. Antonio created a project for this on the Forge but it looks like we’re going to move the project in to our core Subversion repository for him. This level of community involvement is extremely exciting for us.
