On the hunt for KnowledgeTree Engineers

We’re in the process of building out our engineering team and have Intermediate and Senior Engineer positions available. The positions are at our engineering office in sunny, seaside Cape Town but we would entertain remote developer applications.

Intermediate Engineer

Skills and experience:

    * A passion for Open Source and a deep understanding of Open Source licensing and technologies

    * Familiarity with PHP development

    * At least 1 year of MySQL development

    * User interface and AJAX development would be a big plus

    * Python experience would be a plus

    * Familiarity with Apache

    * Familiarity with Linux/UNIXes

    * Familiarity with Windows

    * At least 3 years of other development experience in one of the following C++, C, C#.Net, Java

    * Experience with formal development and testing methodologies

    * Excellent people skills

    * Public speaking (to a technology audience) experience would be a plus

    * Prepared to travel

Senior Engineer

Skills and experience:

    * A passion for Open Source and a deep understanding of Open Source licensing and technologies

    * At least 2 years of PHP development

    * At least 2 years of MySQL development

    * Extremely proficient in Apache

    * Extremely proficient in Linux/UNIXes

    * Extremely proficient in Windows

    * At least 4 years of other development experience in one of the following C++, C, C#.Net, Java

    * Experience with formal development and testing methodologies

    * Excellent people skills

    * Public speaking (to a technology audience) experience would be a plus

    * Python experience would be a plus

    * Prepared to travel extensively
