First post (but pipped to the post by Neil!)

KnowledgeTree is currently a business unit of JamWarehouse, a South Africa-registered software house operating out of Cape Town and Durban, South Africa and London, UK. JamWarehouse employs over 50 people and the KnowledgeTree business unit consists of 10 people, with the majority of us being based at our HQ in Cape Town.

I’m the “pointy-haired boss type” (as Brad, Web UI lead, pre-sales engineer and python wranger operating out of our UK office is fond of saying) on the team and a board member of JamWarehouse. I try and keep the KnowledgeTree team rowing in the same direction whilst continually marvelling at their professionalism and creativity.

Over the next few months I am going to use this blog as a means to crystalize some of my thoughts (and communicate them to you) around our business model, licensing strategy, new products and just about anything else that strikes my fancy.

My first post will be related to our newly launched KnowledgeTree Public License and the why’s, what’s and where’s about it…
